Don't get me wrong, I like fall. I like the smells (unless my neighbors are "leaf" burning; their excuse to burn everything). I love cider and pumpkin doughnuts. I like the sound of crunching through the leaves. It is still a pleasant time of year, and I missed Michigan's falls when I was up in Alaska; Alaska's falls last about three days with primarily only yellow leaves.
Still, I am eager for winter. While I am more careful about wishing way time as I have gotten older, I am still looking forward to the months to come more than the month we are in.
