The flooring in Janelle’s art room is done. I have a variety of before, during and after pictures below. We started yesterday by clearing the room and placing everything into the living room. We then removed the old tiles and got the first few rows of the new flooring in place. This required a lot of measuring and cutting so that the flooring would properly connect in with the hallway without using a transition strip.
It took the rest of today to finish the flooring. My technique definitely improved as the day went on. I’m particularly happy that it looks like it is wall to wall even though I did not have baseboards to cover most of it due to the heaters. My shining glory is how well the bay window turned out as that requires even more precise measuring and cutting.
We ended up with one and a half boxes of LifeProof flooring left over. I feel that the change is a massive improvement—one that we’ve wanted to make since we moved into the house. I’m fairly exhausted now and will worry about reclaiming our living room tomorrow.
