My hard copy of my published dissertation arrived recently. I got a copy for myself and copies for both members of my dissertation committee. While this dissertation took a great deal of time and effort, I still prefer my novel, so I sent them both a copy of that as well. I also included a Starbucks gift card, just in case the thought of once again reading something I wrote makes them sleepy. I will brave the post office line tomorrow.
I also just ordered my graduation gown, even if it seems ridiculous to do so for a virtual graduation. I hope that I didn't wait too long in doing so as I know a lot of plants shut down during the holidays. It's still a month and a half until graduation, so I think there's enough time.
