Our short trip to Michigan was clearly a lot longer from our dogs' perspectives. Upon arriving home, they have been following me around the house and insisting on being petted. Starbuck, in particular, has been continually underfoot--at this moment, literally so. She's even taken to waiting outside of the bathroom when I go in.
Even when near me, she will whimper if she feels that I'm not paying enough attention to her. She had already been in the habit of climbing into my lap when she got frightened, but she's now climbed up a couple of times when there was no such cause. Clearly, the boys hadn't been paying much attention to them while we were gone.
