The premise itself is interesting. Around a thousand years in our future, you play the role of Aloy, a young woman raised on the outskirts of a culture similar to pre-Columbian native tribe. She lives in a world of robotic creatures that roam the area that had once been the Southwestern United States, starting in Colorado. As you explore the world, you discover more about who she is, the politics of the time, and how the world got to its current condition.
The game does not reach the craftsmanship of Breath of the Wild, but it feels like a cross between that game and Skyrim. I am continually wanting to check out the next valley, cave, or mountain. I am continually collecting items to buy or upgrade better equipment, all while slowly building Aloy's power and skills. However, it is the story, even the side quests, that keep drawing me back in as well as haunting my dreams.
Yep, I want to go play some more ...
