I then went to my sister's lake cottage to help my brother-in-law and his neighbors bring in their docks and boat hoists. While not as Herculean of a task as putting them back into the water, the entire adventure is rather cold and very tiring. Thankfully, the waders I'm using don't leak and I didn't have to put too much of my arms into the frigid water.
This year, bringing in the hoists and docks seemed more exhausting than normal. Frankly, I felt weaker than I have on previous outings. Even though I did take some ibuprofen upon returning home, I am still quite sore, further testament to my growing weakness.
Still, it's a good kind of sore, the type of sore one gets after accomplishing something.
