Due to a scheduling mix-up, Janelle and the boys did not have a flight available from Anchorage to Kenai. Thus, instead of heading out from the house at about 8 PM to pick them up, I left home at about 2:30 PM so I could arrive in Anchorage with enough time to play a game of Catan friends (I had wanted to do a Costco run, but the store was closed due to Memorial Day) before picking up my family at the airport. We then headed directly back home, and have only just arrived after a beautiful (and thankfully non-eventful) trip.
It's nice having them home again ... just in time for me to leave tomorrow.
We have to head out at about 8 PM tomorrow so that Janelle can drop me off at the Kenai airport as I start my series of flights to Kansas City for the AP World History Reading. Thus, we only get less than 24 hours to be at home together. It has certainly been a strange start to the summer.
